Riki Naoe isolated himself from the world as a youngster due to a diagnosis of narcolepsy following his parents' terrible deaths. Riki is spared, though, when a child called Kyousuke joins him into a squad known as the Little Busters one fateful day. These misfits spend their childhood combating evil and having fun, accompanied by Masato, Kengo, and Rin. Years pass, and the close-knit teammates remain together even in high school. Kyousuke intends to resurrect the Little Busters by establishing a baseball club for his last school year with them. They do, however, have a problem: there aren't enough members! The tables have turned, and it is now Riki's turn to reach out to new friends and recruit them into the group.
