Daigo Kagemitsu, the rich samurai lordcountry ,'s is fading, and he would do anything for power, even reject Buddha and establish a contract with demons. His prayers are granted by 12 demons, who provide him the authority he seeks by assisting the expansion of his prefecture, but at a cost. When Kagemitsu's first baby is born, he lacks limbs, a nose, eyes, ears, and even skin—yet he lives. This infant is thrown into a river and forgotten. But, by chance, he is saved by a medicine man who gives him with prosthetics and weapons, allowing him to survive and fend for himself. The kid develops and survives, despite the fact that he cannot see, hear, or feel anything.
